Aims to teach the effective writing principles to create messages that are clear and relevant the a target audience.

Focuses on developing critical reading, research skills, and academic writing by utilizing sources from literature of the United States that took place in the colonial period to the start of the Civil War.

Studies the linguistic features of each historical period of English, including the sociopolitical and sociohistorical elements that lead to language change.

Introductory class to creative writing practices. Producing poetry, prose, and creative nonfiction while involving writing for social justice.

Focuses on the study of culture, language, and society.

Research in topics related to language and linguistics while applying APA guidelines. Created bibliographies, researched information on recent studies, and built a paper that was presented and defended among class.
