Greetings!
My name is Zurisadai Esteves!
Welcome to my website!
About Me
I am a B.A. graduate in English with a specialization in linguistics, driven by a deep interest in how languages work—both in human communication and in the technologies that rely on them. Alongside my degree, I completed a minor in Writing and Communications, strengthening my skills in writing, proofreading, and editing.
Most recently, I contributed to the Lexicon Team for the HASPNeL computational linguistics project, where I developed and maintained the program’s dictionary (lexicon) and performed detailed linguistic analysis to support a hybrid symbolic–neural parsing system. This experience deepened my interest in the intersection of language, structure, and machine learning.
Before that, I served as an Editorial Assistant for Engineering Now, the engineering magazine of the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez. I supported the production of the 2025 edition through transcription, editing, and content development, which sharpened my editorial judgment, attention to detail, and collaborative communication.
Earlier in my career, I worked as a Technical Assistant at Colegio Único de Oportunidades, a school partnered with the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC). There, I created technical documentation—including how‑to guides, user guides, and presentations—while working extensively with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. I also applied my creative skills by building web pages on WIX and designing visual materials such as posters for admissions, after‑school programs, and Pre‑ETS events.
I aim to grow as both a book editor and a writer while continuing to explore computational linguistics and the technologies that shape how we communicate.
